The final year of a twenty-design program
The American Women Quarters program issued five reverse themes per year from 2022 through 2025. Its final group brings together journalism, youth leadership, astronomy, disability justice and sport. A five-coin 2025 collection therefore samples several kinds of public achievement rather than a single historical event.
All five share Laura Gardin Fraser’s Washington portrait. The design had originally been proposed for the 1932 quarter, then found a new role as the common obverse of this program. Washington faces right; that change from many older quarters is intentional.
For a previous year’s checklist, use the 2023 quarter guide. The 2026 anniversary quarters are a different program with a dual date and changing obverses. Do not combine their designs into a supposed 2025 set.
How to build a complete 2025 quarter set
Choose your target before buying. A design set needs one example of each honoree. A P/D set needs ten coins: five designs from each mint. Adding circulating-quality S coins creates fifteen design-and-mint combinations, before adding any Proofs.
A practical five-theme checklist| Theme | Record with your coin |
|---|
| Ida B. Wells | Mint mark, finish, condition and purchase or find date. |
|---|
| Juliette Gordon Low | Mint mark, finish, condition and purchase or find date. |
|---|
| Dr. Vera Rubin | Mint mark, finish, condition and purchase or find date. |
|---|
| Stacey Park Milbern | Mint mark, finish, condition and purchase or find date. |
|---|
| Althea Gibson | Mint mark, finish, condition and purchase or find date. |
|---|
Keep the best uncleaned example you find and replace it only when the improvement is clear. Label holders with the honoree, not merely “2025 quarter,” so duplicates are easy to spot. The beginner’s collecting guide covers storage and records.
A coin found late in the year is not necessarily scarce, and a local shortage does not establish a national rarity. Mint product limits describe the particular package; they should not automatically be presented as the total number of that design struck.
2025 quarter value and error checks
Value checkpoints · reviewed October 16, 2026| Coin / version | Condition | Value basis | What supports a premium | Comparison limit |
|---|
| P / D clad | Ordinary circulated | $0.25 baseline | A verified error or exceptional collectible feature | Honoree alone does not establish a premium. |
|---|
| P / D / S clad | Uncirculated collector example | Compare matching sold records | Surface quality, exact mint and grade | S circulation-quality coins are not Proofs. |
|---|
| S clad Proof | Proof | Compare clad Proofs | Grade and contrast | Separate raw and certified coins. |
|---|
| S silver Proof | 99.9% silver Proof | Compare silver Proofs | Metal and collector demand | A complete-set price is not a single-coin value. |
|---|
No verified current sold-price range is established here for the collector versions. Use the same honoree, mint, finish and grade when researching a premium. Record the sale date and distinguish a completed transaction from an unsold asking price.
For a suspected error, first identify the normal detail. DARK MATTER, the trefoil, Milbern’s gestures and Gibson’s net all belong on their respective coins. Photograph the full obverse, reverse and unusual feature before seeking an attribution. Scratches and contact marks do not become errors merely because the design is unfamiliar.
